The lower block has one of the best wet markets in Yangon – only in the morning – selling everything you could possibly need with a nice sea-breeze thrown in for free. And here you can find the very first Doh Eain renovated alleyway, along with Doh Eain’s office (*1)
Other things that caught our eye:
*1 Doh Eain’s office – they can organise tours of their projects and tell you about volunteer opportunities: http://www.doheain.com
And do visit the lovely pottery studio upstairs: you can buy pots and take classes here.
*2 A great coconut seller – on the 42nd side of the covered market – buy a fresh coconut and get it grated here.
