This entire road has been given a Blue Plaque by Yangon Heritage Trust so you know it is interesting. It has some of the most well-known Yangon buildings: not only the iconic Secretariat, but also two churches, one Hindu temple, one mosque, and two newspaper buildings. From a shopping perspective it is mostly large household appliances and consumer electronics.
Other things that caught our eye:
*1 Basic Education High School no. 6 used to be St. Paul’s School – and yes it has a Blue Plaque.
*2 An art gallery, the Collector’s, and a quaintly named bar, Father’s Office, selling Burbrit beer for a good price (no. 291).
*3 A well-regarded sushi restaurant at no. 257 – Kinsakura.
*4 Another bar – the Envoy -with a great terrace.
