This short street has some great architecture: old wooden fronted buildings (at no. 121) which might not be there much longer, and some other beautiful buildings from 1924 (nos. 81 and 89). Much of the middle part of the street is residential, with the odd smattering of Burmese reflexology and blind massage salons.
The lower half is mostly small wholesale shops for drinks, including beer, and dry food. The street ends abruptly in the Nyaung Pin Lay Zay, which is a private wholesale market – turn left to get to Lanmadaw Road as the small delivery alley that takes you to Strand Road is not very scenic!
