Latha Road

Latha Road is at the heart of Chinatown – one of the slightly wider streets with the fabulous Guangdong Guan Yin Temple, dedicated to the goddess of mercy, at the junction with Mahabandoola Road. If you look up you will see the beautiful facades of most impressive buildings. But if you only look at street level you will see the typical bland modern shops – many of which are currently closed.

Other things that caught our eye:
*1, *2, *3 and *4 are for clan houses, some with temples on the roof:
*2 is a clan house with a difference, as it is also the home of Summit Plastic which sells every sort of plastic item you can imagine, and more. It is round the corner from Latha Road, on Mahabandoola Road.
